 | Hi, I'm
Lesley.
I live in Mickleover, Derby. I have been working for a Veterinary
Practice for the past 10 years but I now devote all my time to running
Kitty Kare. I am a life
long cat lover and have owned many different cats over the years, most
of which have come to me from various rescue centres. At present
I own 7 cats which all live indoors with access to a
fully enclosed garden and outdoor pen. I regularly visit cat shows, and exhibit two of my
younger cats. As well as my cats, I also have two
"rescue" rabbits, a wild rabbit (Willow), and a domestic
rabbit (Wilma). |
 | I originally
set up Kitty Kare in
order to provide a service for elderly or infirm cats, diabetic cats
or very nervous cats which were not suited to being placed in a
cattery. However, word very quickly spread, and the demand for
Kitty Kare services has been such that I now have a small team of pet
sitters, all of whom are trained and experienced in animal care and committed to
maintaining the high standards of care that our clients have
come to expect. We really care about all our feline friends and give
them the very best care we can give whilst their owners are away ....
because they deserve the best!
We personally
care for your cats in the same way that you do, maintaining their
usual routines and giving them the extra cuddles and attention they need when
you are away. |

Hi, I’m
Angela and I live in Etwall with my husband, two teenage
children and two cats. I have lived in the area for 6 years and have
used Kitty Kare to look after my cats when I have been away. My two
cats are called Floyd and Monty. Floyd is a very old black cat and
he will be 18 in July. He likes lots of attention and his favourite
place is his hut, (which is his cosy soft bed). |
 | Monty is the cat in the picture,
he is a very large 6 year old and he likes nothing more than hunting
and is always bringing us 'presents'. I have plenty of experience
with all types of cats and, judging from my own experience, truly believe that cats are much
happier in their own homes. |

 | Hi
I'm Suzie and I work part-time for Kitty
Kare, mainly covering the Mickleover, Allestree and
town centre areas of Derby. |
 | Lesley and I
go back a long way and have been friends for many years. |
 | As well as
working for Kitty Kare, I have, (for the past 6 years), worked at a
busy veterinary surgery, and enjoy the work very much. |
 | I now have
several regular Kitty Kare clients who's cats know me as their
surrogate mum. I have become very attached to all the lovely cats in
my care, and enjoy looking after them very much. The cats also give
back so much affection that it makes the job thoroughly enjoyable. |

 | Hi
- I'm Hazel. I'm retired and I've lived in
Mickleover for 37 years. For all of my life there has been a cat
or cats in my family. I remember, as a child, it was
always (with one exception) a black cat and always called Sooty ! |
 | I now have Max and Mollie
(brother and sister) and I'm not sure if they live with me or I
live with them because they rule the roost ! |
 | I really enjoy looking
after the cats while their owners are away. They are much
happier in their own environment and familiar surroundings and it
is so rewarding when they come to meet me when I arrive.

 | Hi I'm Natasha and I
live in Chellaston. As well as working for Kitty Kare I also
run my own Beauty therapy
business. |
 |
For as long as I can
remember I have owned and worked with animals. Some years ago I
evented horses and worked as a riding instructress in a busy stable
yard. I have owned dogs and cats throughout my life and at the
moment own 4 cats, Polly, Skye, Dotty and
Morgan. Morgan, the
tabby and white cat in the picture, is the lazy one of the
bunch. When you own and work with animals you begin to
understand the responsibility involved. Caring for all their
individual needs and requirements gives me great pleasure, and
working for Kitty Kare is the best job in the world!
I'll look forward to making sure your furry friends are happy and
contented while you are away from home. |

Hi
I’m Carole and I live in
Stanley. This is me with one
of my cats, Oscar. Lucy was a little camera shy! |
 |
Apart
from my absolute love of cats my other hobbies are going to watch
The Rams to which I have been a season ticket holder now for 5
years. I also enjoy going to the gym, growing plants for my garden
from seeds, reading and of course looking after your cats whilst you
are away. |

 | Hi I'm
Sue.
This is me with my rescue moggy, 'Splodge' who would NOT look at
the camera for anybody! |
 | I have lived in Oakwood for 20 years and we
have always had a cat around the home. My first priority
after booking any holiday is 'Splodge's care. Knowing
she is safe and being cared for means we can enjoy our
break. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and have been
lucky enough to travel extensively and to see many places...
and I always seem to be found by a 'holiday' cat! |
 | Other interests, when
time allows, are painting,
going to the gym, reading and being a taxi driver for my teenage
daughter! |
 | Helping Kitty Kare gives me time to enjoy
and fuss all the different varieties of cats and enjoy their
funny ways without bringing them all home with me. |

My name is
Joy. I live in Hilton, Derby and help Kity Kare out in
busy periods. I have had the pleasure of owning cats for
the last 20 years and I now have 2 cats, Charlie, age 15, (in the
picture with me), and a younger female called Missie who we
found as a stray and gave a home to. |
 |
My cats have suffered from various
illnesses over the years, and I am therefore quick to recognise
general signs of ill health in cats and am confident in dealing with
any problems that may arise. I have plenty of experience
in administering medication when necessary and over the years have
learned all the tricks of tablet giving! I believe all cats
have their own personalities and enrich people's lives turning
houses into homes. |
 |
When I go away, Kity Kare looks
after my cats and I know that they care for them in the same
way that I do. If I am given the responsibility of looking
after your cats I will always give them same degree of care and
attention as I give my own.

Jane
works part-time for Kitty Kare, helping out during peak periods.
She mainly covers the Hilton area. |
 |
Jane is a personal friend of
mine who I have known for over 8 years. Jane was previously employed by the
same veterinary
practice as myself and is fully trained and experienced in animal
care. Jane has owned various animals over the years, but since
the death of her dog 7 years ago has not had any more pets, preferring
to devote all her attentions to her regular Kitty Kare cats. |
