When you go away on holiday, your cats can remain in their own comfortable, familiar environment. They can sleep in their usual places, eat from their usual bowls, and maintain their routines—completely avoiding the stress of a traditional boarding cattery.

⏱️ What a Typical Visit Looks Like

Each standard visit lasts approximately 30 minutes, though timings can be flexibly adjusted to meet your specific individual needs. During this time, your cats will receive:

Fresh Meals & Water: Fed precisely to your schedule with fresh water rotated daily.
Litter Box Maintenance: Completely scooped, cleaned, and refreshed.
Love & Interaction: Last but certainly not least, lots of customized attention, playtime, and cuddles.

⚠️ Our Daily Visit Policy

Minimum Requirement: We enforce a strict minimum of one visit per day.

Please do not request alternating or "every other day" visits. While automated food or water might last that long, cats require consistent human interaction. Leaving a feline entirely alone for more than 24 hours can cause severe emotional distress.

We visit regularly each day so that your cats become accustomed to the routine. We quickly form genuine relationships with our clients—even the most shy, timid cats soon look forward to our arrival!

💊 Medical Care & Special Requirements

We are fully equipped to look after cats with special physical or medical needs:

Medication Administration: We can easily maintain your cat's precise medical schedules.
Advanced Treatment: Our sitters are trained in complex treatments, including injectables like insulin for diabetic cats.
Extra Requirements: Specialized grooming or unique tasks can normally be catered for.

Note: Please detail all specialized medical routines on your contract form so we can comprehensively review them during our initial introductory visit.

🏡 Total Home Peace of Mind

While looking after your felines, Kitty Kare also keeps a watchful eye on your home each day you are away to ensure everything is safe and secure.

Please Note: Kitty Kare specializes exclusively in feline care. While we can occasionally accommodate small caged pets (such as hamsters, fish, and rabbits), we unfortunately cannot care for dogs or other large animals.

We believe in clear, transparent pricing. Below you will find details on our standard coverage zones, holiday rates, and specialized care pricing.

📍 Coverage & Standard Fees

Our Standard Fee applies to visits within an approximate 4-mile radius of our pet sitters' homes.

Standard Fee: £12.50 per visit, which will change to £13.50 from 1st September 2026

📅 Holiday Pricing Structure

Special rates apply for bank holidays to compensate our sitters for working peak times:

Premium Bank Holidays (Double Rate): Visits on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday are charged at twice (2x) the standard fee.
Standard Bank Holidays (1.5x Rate): All other recognized Bank Holidays are charged at one and a half times (1.5x) the standard fee.

🩺 Specialized Medical Care (Diabetic Cats)

Visits to diabetic cats are charged at a higher rate. This covers the rigid time-sensitivity required for blood glucose management and the coordination of additional emergency back-up cover to ensure your cat never misses a critical window.

SERVICE AGREEMENT: If you decide to employ Kitty Kare, you will first need to complete our Service Agreement. This provides us with details of your cats' needs, as well as your emergency contact number, vet's address etc. Please supply us with as much detail as possible about your cats.

INTRODUCTORY VISIT: If you are interested in our service please contact us to arrange an introductory visit. We will arrange to come and visit you, to meet you and your cats, so that we can discuss your requirements. Please inform us of any problems or concerns you may have and of any special requests. Please try to make sure that your cats are available for us to meet and have the house keys ready to hand over to us. There is no charge for this visit.
